Will I be eligible for IPS exam at the age of 29 complete & 30 running (in yrs)?

Dear sir, I am 28 years complected now in march and I am in open category.
because of some reasons i did not complected my graduation. but now i am completing it now. in this year I give T.Y B.A Exam from pune univercity. i completed my F.Y and S.Y.I will complete my graduation at the age of running 30. will I elligible for the IPS exam.
I am working now but I want to give IPS exam. pls suggest me what I have to do now. and which exam I have to give.

IPS exam stands for Indian Police Services which is conducted by UPSC.

This year IPS Preliminary exam is over and now your age is 30 years running.

In next year, age will be more than 30 years, therefore you are not Eligible for IPS exam.

This year mains exam is conducted at 1 Dec 2013.

If you are OBC AND SC/ST category, then you are Eligible for IPS exam.

There is 3 year Age relaxation for OBC category and 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category.

General Age limit is 21-30 years.

Education Qualification;-

You must be passed a bachelor degree from a recognized university.

Selection Process;-

Preliminary exam

Mains exam

Interview.

Yes my friend, if your age is still in the running 30th year, then you can apply for the ias exam, conducted by the upsc.
For giving the exam, you need to be a graduate from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years of age.
A relaxation of 3 and 5 years is given to the obc and the sc.st category candidates respectively.

Yes , you are eligible for IPS exam.

IPS stands for Indian Police Services comes under civil services .For that you give civil services examination.

Age Limit :

General Category : 21-30 years
BC Category : 21-33 years
SC/ST Category : 21-35 years.

Educational Requirements :

Candidate should be graduate from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.

For that exam no percentage barrier , If candidate just have passing marks in graduation are also eligible.

Selection Procedure :

To become an IPS officer you have three stages , Firstly you pass CSAT (Prelims) exam after that Main Exam , AT the last you pass Interview.

Yes you will be eligible if you are not completing 30 before or on August 1st if you are an O.C community... If MBC 33 and if SC/ST its 35.

your age is calculated on the date of releasing of the notification for the examination , so if you are above 30 years on that

date so you will not be eligible for the same.


so if you are belonging from general category than you will not be eligible for the same next year but if you are belonging from sc/st

or obc category then there is still a chance alive for you . see the details here under it will clear all your doubts.

YOU CAN NOT APPLY FOR THE I.P.S exam


YOU WOULD HAVE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION BEFORE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS

Then you would have applied for it
