    Hi Aspirant,


    After completing B. Sc. In Electronics you can apply for the civil service exam for the post of IAS officer.

    UPSC organizes the IAS exam every year at all India level.

    Civil service exam is the toughest exam and lots of candidates can apply for this exam.

    To apply for Civil service exam you must fulfill the eligibility criteria.


    Eligibility conditions

    You must have bachelor degree in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.

    You can also apply for civil service exam in final year of graduation.

    There is no restriction o percentage.

    You must attend the age of 21 to 30 years.

    Age relaxation

    5 years relaxation for SC/ST

    3 years relaxation for OBC

    PH + 10 years

    You must be the citizen of India.


    Exam pattern and syllabus for civil service exam

    Preliminary exam

    General studies (200 marks)

    General studies (200 marks)



    Mains exam ( 2000 marks)

    Interview ( 300 marks)

    After qualifying the written exam you will be called for the Interview.


    There are limited attempts in civil service exam. So you should give attempt when you are sure about your preparation.

    4 attempts for general candidates

    7 attempts for OBC candidates

    No limit for SC/ST limit
