SSB is the next step after clearing CDSE written exam.
CDSE is combined defense service exam and SSB is staff selection board.
CDSE written exam takes place biannualy.
through this exams condidates are selected for NAVAL, AIRFORCE, ARMY according to the preferences given by the applicant and also depends on its performance in the written exam.
if you clear the written exam then you will be called for the SSB by the departement for which you had qualified.
Then you have to go to the SSB board when a callletter comes to your address from the department.
This is total 5 days task.
elimination round will be there on the first and last day only.
on the 1st day there will be screening and for the selected condidates there will be different task on the coming days.
if you cleared the SSB then your selection is not confirmed, after that there will be merit list.
if your name comes in merit list then your selection is confirmed.
After that you will be called for training.
SSB is service selection board which analyse the capability and compatibility for commission into armed forces of india.

CDSE is combined defense services examination conducted by upsc for recruitment in IMA, NAVAL academy, OTA, NDA, AFA.

~The SSB is formed by almost all the exams as such,as NDA and TES,to test the candidates under all conditions.

CDSE Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as namely CDS I and CDS II . CDS I Examination was already completed on 12/02/12 and CDS II Last date for receipt of application on 02/07/12 .
It is All India Level Entrance Examination and this examination is conducted for Military Academy , Naval Academy , Air force Academy and Officer Training Academy .
Education Qualification need for this examination is that the applicant have to completed their graduate degree with any desire subject of recognized University or equivalent qualification and Percentage bar is not required for this examination . Dear, CDSE means Combined Defence Service Examination while SSB means Staff Selection Board. CDSE is a written Objective type Examination for the selection of Defence Services and those who are selected on merit through this exam. they have to clear SSB i.e. interview. One can say that only those candidates who qualify from CDSE are selected for SSB. And those who are selected from SSB are eligible for Defence services in the ranks of Officers.

A written Exam of papers such as English,General Knowledge,Elementary Mathematics.
Then followed by a 5 day interview

the difference between CDSE (Combined Defence Services Examination) and SSB (Staff Selection Board) is that CDSE is an entrance examination for joining forces after graduation and SSB is a selection Board formed for selecting candidates among the written qualified candidates of first stage of CDSE on the grounds of their physical and mental toughness.SSB is a part of CDSE recruitment procedure but the most important and critical part of CDSE.

His selection procedure consists of two stages i.e. Stage-I and Stage-II.
In stage-I there are two rounds

After this round higher scoring candidates are selected for stage-II rest are returned back to their homes.
In Stage-II you have to say at SSB center for next 3-4 days. This round consists of:

SSB is Service Selection Board take the interview for recruiting officer in Indian Defence. If you want to become an officer in Indian Defence then you have to face this stage.
SSB is of 5 days duration and it has various tests like psychological tests, Group Task Tests and Interview. This test is done to evaluate your officer like qualities in candidates. If you score good marks in SSB then you will have very good chance of getting selected.
For CDS exam you should have Graduation and age should be between 19 to 25 years.
Also note that those who pass written exam are only called for SSB interview in CDS exam.
