IAS deals with administrative services. An IAS is designated as a District Officers ( DC, DM ). An IAS is responsible for law and order and administration in the allotted area. This rank is the most prestigious one under civil services.

IPS deals with police services. The function of IPS is to maintain decorum in the allotted area and see that crime is prevented and punish the guilty.

IFS stands for Foreign service where, the officers deal with matters related to foreign affairs.

Now, it is your decision to see that where your interest lies.

    ALL THE BEST!!!!

    Hi,

IPS Exam stands for Indian Police Service [IPS]. The exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) to select candidates for the All India Services and for the services coming under the Group A and Group B of the Central Government.

On the other hand,IFS Exam stands for Indian Forest Service. The entrance exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment of Students for Indian Forest Service (IFS). It is a highly challenging and demanding profession.

So I will suggest you to go for both the exams.
You should not leave any stone unturned!

    Bye!
