dear aspirant,
to become an IAS officer you have to apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.
to appear in Civil Services exam you have to complete graduation
in any discipline from recognized college or university with any percentage.
Civil Services exam constitutes three parts:
1. CSAT
2. Mains
3. Interview
for appearing in exam you have to fulfill some other requirement like:
>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.
>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
and you must have attained the minimum age on same date and you have not attained the upper age on similar date.

The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
Educational Qualification
The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university

OBC 21-33 yrs

if you get qualify the preliminary exam,then only you are allowed to appear for civil service main exam which is on 8-11-2013

Dear if you want to apply for UPSC Civil Service IAS exam then you may apply for this exam between these following dates but you should have - A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if you are in final year of your degree then also you may apply for this exam and your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates
