Physical eligibility criteria for Civil service Exam:-

Eye sight �
6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
Near vision J1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye.
The correction by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Ear-
good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal-
clear and free from any polyps and injury, both nasal passages should be clear.

Speech-
The candidate should not stammer while speaking.

Height �
Male 165 cm Male (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC) � 160 cm
Female 150 cm Female (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest �
Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Blood pressure (High) - 123� 127.

FOR MALE CANDIDATES :-

>> height should be 165 cms.
>> Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
>> visual standard should be 6/6 right eye and 6/12 left eye and both eyes without optical device.


FOR FEMALE CANDIDATES :-

>> height should be 152 cms.

Physical Standards are only required in Civil Services - Indian Police Service Exam which are following :

1. hight - Male - 165 cm and 160 cm for reserved category candidates

hight - Female - 150 cm and 145 cm for reserved category candidates

2. Chest - Male - should be at least 84 cm and must have 5 cm expansion in chest

Chest - Female - should be at least 79 cm and must have 5 cm expansion in chest

3. Eye Sight - Eye sight of the candidate should be about - 6/6 or 6/9 for best or good eye and if having 6/12 or 6/6 distant vision then it would be called worst eye.

4. Candidate should not have stammer in his/her speaking

5. Ear - 1000 - 4000 frequency and hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels

6. Blood Pressure - Should not be lesser than 123 and more than 127

7. Women's : Female Candidate should not be pregnant while the medical test

8. Nasal : Both Nasal Passages should be free and Nasal must be clear from polyps and injury.

If you have above mentioned medical and physical standards then you can qualify this step.

Graduate in any stream is the compulsory education to apply.

Only for the posts of Indian Police Services required below physical requirements.

You should following physical status required for civil services.
