Eligibility:
Educational qualification-Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University.
Age Limits-General category 21-30yrs,OBC 21-33yrs,SC/ST 21-35yrs.

To become an IPS Officer you have to clear the Civil Services Exams.
Civil Services Exams consists of :
1.Prelims/CSAT Exams-Consists of Paper 1 & Paper 2 each of 200 marks i.e.Total marks = 400.Must clear CSAT to be eligible for Mains exams.
2.Mains Exams-Choose 2 optional subjects and prepare it well.Clear mains to get an interview call.

In final year you can apply for civil exam.
UPSC fill the post of IPS through Civil Service exam.
Eligibility for CSE
You should be graduated in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent
Final year candidates are eligibile to apply.
Age should be between 21 to 30 years.
Age relaxation
SC/ST + 5 years
OBC + 3 years
PH + 10 years
You must be Indian.
Friend there is no particular qualifying marks for IPS cadre.
Qualify marks or cut off vary every year according to following factor
