    Indian Administrative Services i.e. IAS and Indian Police Services i.e. IPS exams are conducted by UPSC.

    You can apply online for these examinations at www.upsconline.nic.in

    The eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC exam is Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

    The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.

    There is five years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.

    My Dear Aspirant

    IAS Stands for the Indian Administrative service

    And as IAS Is highest reputed post of the country

    So you can understand what quality they want from a person

    If he wants to become a Ias officer

    The person should be very much hard working

    As for the exam you need to study at least 15 hours in

    A Day for the mains exam

    And the candidate should be pass in graduation

    As to apply for the exam you need to be pass in graduation from a recognized university

    And your age must be between 21-30

    And relaxation for the obc of 3 years

    And for the sc.st the relaxation is 5 years

    And for the ph candidates the relaxation is 10 years

    IAS Exam (Civil service exam) is considered to be the toughest Exam of the country and rightly so because of the High degree of satisfaction, Respect and Comfort provided by the Prestigious Civil services of The Country. Lakhs of students Compete every year in this Exam to get Into Prestigious Civil services of the Country.

    Civil Services require a set of Qualities in the Person so that he can manage the Complexities, Unpredictable Situations and Problems hat may arise in the Civil Services at a regular Daily basis. Thus the recruiters are searching for these Qualities in Aspirants and they are experts in doing it. The can see those Qualities insides the person that decides that in future he will be able to accomplish His Duties or Not. There Job is to fit the Right Man into the Right Job and they are experts in doing it.

    Hi Aspirant,

    UPSC conducts the civil service exam for the post of IAS (Indian administrative Service).

    UPSC conducts exam once in a years.


    Required qualification for IAS post

    You must have graduation degree from valid university

    Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

    Age should be between 21 to 30 years

    Age relaxation

    SC/ST + 5 years

    OBC + 3 years

    PH + 10 years

    You must be Indian.


    UPSC expects the following qualities from candidates for IAS post

    Candidates should have been highly intelligent

    Extra ordinary personality.

    Positive attitude

    Good thinking power

    Decision taking ability

    Quality to tackle any situation

    Etc.
