As the Indian Engineer Services exam on the basis of your graduate
Degree in b.tech as you are fully eligible for both exams
The criteria for the cse exam:
The candidate should be pass in the graduation from

Or a final year student can also apply
Age limit:21-30 And relaxation for the obc of 3 years
And relaxation of age for the sc.st is 5 years
And for the Ies exam also same qualification just one difference
As for the cse exam just a graduate pass degree requires but in
Ies a b.tech pass degree requires

As you are Mechanical Engineering graduate, you will be eligible for both CSAT & IES examination. The UPSC conducts theCSAT & IES examination every year. The essential qualification for the UPSC is to pass the Bachelors degree in any stream at any recognizeduniversity. Theage limit for it is 21-30years. The upper age limit for OBC is 3years and forSC/ST,it is 5years. The number of attempts for general category is 04 and forOBC candidates, it is 07 and for SC/ST, it is upto their last upper age limit. Best of Luck
