Minimum CGPA is 6.8 that is required in civil service exam.
You got 6.8 on CGPA you are eligible in IES exam.
There is no minimum required CGPA or any kind of percentage required in the graduation to apply for the same because there is only a requirement of the graduation in engineering for the same .
As the IES stands for the indian engineering services, it is conducted by the UPSC , in this examination there are 4 stages which consist of ths six tests called the engineerinf services examinations.
If you are graduate from the following branch like, civil engineering/mechanical/electrical/electronics and telecommunication engineering.
Your age must be 21 to 30 years.
you must have the degree in engineering from a recognised university or equivalent.
MSc degree or its equivalent with wireless communication, electronics ,radio physicsor engineering as aspecial subjecvts.
Examination pattern for the same is as follows-
paper 1 objecvtive type examination of th e general ability.
in part 1 there is english and part b general studies.

I am very pleased to tell you that there is no CGPA stated by UPSC as eligibility criteria for appearing in IES examination.But for appearing in IES examination one have to pass graduation in engineering from any recognized university.
Some other eligibility criteria required for appearing in IES examination are :-
1.You should be a citizen of India.
2.The age limit is 21-30 years for General candidates with a relaxation in age of 3,5 and 5 years for OBC,SC and ST candidates respectively.
3.You should have passed your graduation in Engineering from any engineering stream and from a government recognized university.
4.You have to appear for examination opting any of given 4 engineering streams to qualify the exam with the stream selected from given below 4 streams:-
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication
Civil Engineering

for gicing the IES examination conducted by the upsc, you need to be a gradeaute in any of the following engineering streams.
1. mechanical engineering
2. Electrical engineering
3. ECE
4. Civil engineering
the age limit for giving this exam is
21-30 years for the general category
21-33 years for the obc category
21-35 years for the sc/st category.
moreover there is no requirement for any kind of percentage in the engineering streams, you just need to be a graduate.

There is no minimum CGPA alloted for applying for the IES exam.
IES is Indian Engineering Service. The exam is conducted by the UPSC.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-
><Should have a B.tech/B.e degree in any stream.
><There is no minimum marks alloted.
><The age of the candidates should be 21-30 years.
><SC/ST/OBC candidates are given age relaxation.
><Should be Indian citizen.
There is no cgpa or percentage bar required to apply for this examination. Minimum Qualifying marks is enough to apply for this examination.

For that exam you should be graduate in engineering from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of engineering graduation.
Your age must be under 21-30 years.
3 years of age relaxation for BC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
You must be citizen of India.
