NOTIFICATION YET NOT RELEASED for next upsc civil services exam , it is expected to floats in month of december according to trends, so you can expect next exam in month of may,2013.

the next UPSC exams held in the month of may in next year 2013.
you can get every information on UPSC main site http://www.upsc.gov.in/
the next UPSC exam will be held in May/June of 2013, sale of application forms for which will be available around Feb/March, 2013.
you can apply for the exam either online or offline.

First, you need to know what is UPSC.
UPSC is Union Public Service Commission which conducts many exams in which Civil Service Exam(CSE) is one of them.
CSE has a misnomer as 'IAS exam' or 'UPSC exam'.
The notification for the next year, ie 2013 hasn't released yet.

It is very difficult for me to tell you the date of next UPSC examination becuase you have not mentioned which UPSC exams.There are lots of upsc exams conducted every year like:
>>Civil services examinations.
>>Indian Forest services.
>>Indian engineering services examinations
>>Geologists exam
and lots more.
