The exam is known as Civil Services Examination.

The exam consists of 3 stages:-

The Centers and the date of holding examination as mentioned above are liable to be changed at the discretion of the commission

So when you apply for this examination then you should choose anyone of the above mentioned centers to appear for examination and generally you need to select your nearest city under your state so you could easily reach there without any problem and comfortably complete your examination

You should apply for next year's civil service prelims examination and to apply for that, you should have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this test

Your age should be minimum 21 years and should not be more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/STs

Selection Procedure for IAS post :

Preliminary Examination - Objective type two papers contains 400 marks and passing in prelims is obligatory

Main Examination - Conventional type seven papers contains 1800 marks and passing in each paper is mandatory

Personality Test - 275 marks and you will be eligible only after passing both above mentioned stages
