I have done 3 year degree course in Hospitality Management. Can I sit for IAS exams?

sir myself mayank pandey from lucknow and i want to know that i completed my 3 year degree course in hospitality management and wants to sit for ias exams but i want to know that my degree is eligible for sitting or preparation of ias exams.sir please tell me that can i sit for this ias exams or not but i want to gave this exams please give the answer of my question.

To become an IAS Officer you have to appear and clear UPSC Civil Services Exams(CSE).

UPSC CSE are conducted every year for recruitment to 24 posts.

Educational Qualification :
Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University.

Since you have completed your degree in Hospitality Mangement
from a recognised University you are eligible to appear in the CSE.

You can only appear in the IAS exam if you have a degree(any discipline) from a university certified by UGC..
So if you want to appear you have to confirm that your university is certified from UGC.
You can visit www.ugc.ac.in and check whether your university is certified or not...

There is minimum educational qualification is graduate any stream from any recognized university.

Age should be between 21-30 years

For OBC Candidate 21-33 years

For SC/ST Candidate 21-35 years

Yes sir you are eligible for the exam.upsc civil service exam requirement is the graduation in any stream from the approved university which is recognized by the ugc/aicet or state/center government approved

there is no matter for the percentage of the marks and the stream of the graduation in upsc exam. upsc exam is requirement only graduation candidate from the recognized university which is approved by the ugc/aicet. The percentage of the marks is no matter for the exam and also higher qualification is no matter for the exam. It is beneficial for you in the future.So don�t worry you are eligible for the exam

The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times.

The age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years (3 years relaxation). Attempt the exam 7 times.
