Re: Will attempting state PSC exams deviate me from UPSC preparation? Should I avoid appearing in state PSC exams?

Dear if you are thinking that appearing for various state Public Service Commission Exams with the preparation of UPSC exams is not good then you are wrong because there is no problem in appearing for other state PSC exams while preparing for UPSC exams

If you are focused on UPSC recruitment processes for different posts then you should be concentrated on that examination which you are preparing for but if you think that you should appear for other state PSC exams then there is no problem at all because most of the State PSC exams are related to UPSC syllabus so that would be a very good adding of knowledge in your UPSC exam preparation because when you will appear then you will see that so many questions are asked from your official syllabus of UPSC that you are preparing for so this will increase your knowledge on some points that is very good for you and your grounding for UPSC exam so do not think that and appear for state PSC exams also

When you apply for state PSC exams then you should see that how many times you will be allowed to appear for State PSC exams because there are also some limitations decided by state government of India so if you apply then you must know about it and if possible then you should study for State PSC exams also because your attempt will not be wasted just like that and if you get selected then you will get a very good future in state PSC too so that may also be a right option but if you see that study of state PSC is being estoppel in your way of preparation of UPSC exams then you must not concentrate over that and just be positive about UPSC because UPSC is your main target so first priority should be given to UPSC exams then only think about the PSC of other states so you have to think all the ways in your career then you should put your foot for walking further

Select any one state PSC with the preparation means do not go for all states PSC exams and just select any one state PSC as your second target but focus more on your target only and when you see that study is being disturbed then you should prefer only UPSC and if you are able to study for both state and UPSC then you should prepare for both at same time because target of only one State PSC will definitely increase your knowledge and practice for both examination that is necessary for the preparation and you should sort out the syllabus that is related to each other and study in depth over those topics but keep practicing for UPSC exam more than state PSC

    All the best
