    Dear Candidate,
    # The most important criterias for being eligible to appear in The OTA Exams are as follows :
-You must be a citizen of India.
-You must be of 20 to 25 years of age,as in the year of appearing the exams. The upper age limit is however relaxable by 5yrs for all backward classes.
-You must hold a degree of Graduation,or equivalent, from an UGC recognized university, under any stream, with pass percentage.

Therefore,IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR GRADUATION,THEN BEING A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE AFFECTS YOUR CHANCES OF APPEARING THE OTA EXAMS IN NO WAY.
YOU ARE SURELY ELIGIBLE TO APPEAR FOR THE EXAMS.

O.T.A. stands for OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY.
By applying in C.D.S. exam, candidates can join O.T.A.
C.D.S. stands for COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICE EXAM.
This examination is conducted by U.P.S.C.

For appearing in O.T.A. you must satisfy its eligibility criteria.
If you are satisfying the eligibility criteria then you can apply for O.T.A.
The exam is not at all concerned with any government job.
As you are a Govt. employee this does not affect you in any way to appear for O.T.A. if you are satisfying the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility for Officers Training Academy(O.T.A.), 2012:-

    - The age of the candidate must be 19-25 years.
    - Candidate must be a degree holder.
    - Both male & female candidates can apply for the exam.
    - Candidates must have completed their graduation from recognized university.
    - Candidate must be physically fit.
    - Candidate must be Indian citizen.
