Re: Am I eligible to write UPSC exams? I have failed one year of engineering and got less than 50% marks.

    Dear Applicant,
-PERCENTAGE IS NO LONGER AN ISSUE IN THE EXAMINATIONS CONDUCTED BUY THE UPSC.The fact is that You must have scored the PASSING PERCENTAGE in AGGREGATE in Your Graduation,or equivalent,so as to be eligible for the exams.
-Getting to the second point of your query,I would like to inform you that CANDIDATES APPEARING THEIR FINAL YEAR IN GRADUATION,OR EQUIVALENT,are also eligible to apply.
-Then,You need to produce the passing certificates, and the required Mark sheet at the Interviews,as the selection proceeds.
-Hence,even if you have failed in one year,if you manage to produce the Passing certifications of Bachelors in Engineering in time, after clearing all your Backlogs, then appearing for the exams conducted by the UPSC is NOT an issue AT ALL.
-The LIST of the EXAMINATIONS CONDUCTED BY THE UPSC for which YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE once you COMPLETE YOUR BTECH,OR ARE IN THE FINAL YEAR,are MENTIONED BELOW-

    # CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS
    # COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMS
    # INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAMS
    # INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMS
    # CENTRAL POLICE FORCE EXAMS

    dear friend,

if you completed your graduation then you can definitely eligible for UPSC exams. in UPSC your graduation matter, and which percentage you have done your graduation does not matter. so don't worry about marks.

for UPSc your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.

And there is relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates(3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates).

dear if you scored less then its not a problem but all you need to do is you have to pass your engg. then you can apply for the upsc exams because upsc requires graduated or engg. students who did from a recognized university....so you have to get passed then only you can apply for upsc exams and then only you will be eligible for upsc exams...

    dear aspirant,
percentage is not the eligibility criteria for the upsc exam,
you need to have minimum atleast passing marks in the final year of graduation or engineering.

so if you scored minimum passing marks in the final year of engineering then also you are eligible for the upsc exam,
and you can apply for the upsc exam,

to apply for the upsc exam you can go to www.upsconline.nic.in

    good luck

Dear, if you have completed your Graduation with less than 50% it doesn't matter though you are failed once. Because UPSC needs only Graduates. So, don't be panic and prepare well for the UPSC Exams.. In UPSC Exams you have to score good marks even near about 70% only then you are supposed to be in the merit list.Dear, its better to go for Coaching. Choose those subjects in which you feel comfortable. It doesn't matter, if you choose Arts Stream Subjects. So, Good Luck....

    Dear Friend,

Yes you are eligible for UPSC Exams if you have successfully completed your graduation(engineering) without any pending backlogs now.

Also , i would like to inform you that there is no percentage bar in UPSC Exams as the only thing required is you must have completed your graduation in whatever stream from any recognized college/university.

However , in the meantime , you also have to fulfill the other required criteria for the same as :

    * Your age should lie in between 21-30 years.

    * Relaxation in upper age will be provided to you if you belong to any reserved category.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
