    Dear,
The essential qualification for the CSAT examination is to pass the Bachelor degree at any recognized university in any discipline. The age limit is within 21-30 years and the upper age limit is 03 years for OBC and 05 years for SC/ST candidates. There is 04 attempts for the General candidates and 07 attempts for OBC and unlimited attempts for SC/ST candidates till the last upper age limit to appear the examination. As you are 29 of the age, you may cross the age limit of 30 years in 2013. So if you'll come under the reserved category, then you can definitely appear the examination. To know more details please visit www.upsc.gov.in Thanks...

    dear friend,

For the post of IAS you have to appear in UPSC CS(Civil Services) Exam.

if you are from general category and if you reach the age of 30 years after 1 august in 2013. then you can apply for UPSC CS exam. and that would be your last chance. else you can't apply for CS exam.

if you are from OBC or SC/ST you can definitely apply for UPSC CS exam.

    2. Age Limit:

    • General: 21 to 30 years
    • OBC: 21 years to 33 years

you fullfill the educational criteria of having a bachelor's degree from any recognised university. you also have to fullfill the age criteria.
the general age criteria is 21-30 years.the upper age for general candidates is 30 years. for OBC its 33 years and for SC/sT its 35 years. The upper age is calculated as on 1st august of the year you are applying. if you want to apply in 2013, then calculate your age, if you fullfill the above mentioned criteria, then you can attempt the civil services exam
