Dear Aspirant
As you have done BSC in information Technology then you can apply to.IFS exam.but the condition is that you must pass +2 with medical or non medical then you can apply for because for IFS you must have to read science in +2 exam.
If you done +2 with science you can surely fill the exam and you have to choose two optional subject from the given subjects which can be b/w physics,chemistry and Math as your subjects.

If you are a pcm student in 12th then you go for it.
But if you are a commerce student and after 12th doing bsc.it and
then msc.it then you are not able for ifs exam.

For IFS exam you must have a Bachelor�s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.



Acronym IFS stands for Indian Forest Services exam. the exam is conducted by UPSC for the posts in forest department.


Scheme of Examination:

A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION :

The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each.



B. MAIN EXAMINATION :

The written examination consisting of the following papers:-

Paper I- General English 300 Marks
Paper II-General Knowledge 300 Marks
Papers III, IV, V and VI.-Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional
subjects set out in para 2 below. Each subject will have two papers.-:-200 marks for
each paper.

(C) Interview for Personality Test

Maximum Marks : 300



for IFS your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is also relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/St.
