    Can I apply for UPSC/IAS exams after completing B.E in Information Science and Engineering?

    sir,i'm varun kumar i have completed B.E IN INFORMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING,can i eleigible to applly to the UPSC OR IAS exame ,can u tel me pls.

    Yes....you can go for IAS....

    UPSC will hold the IAS exam every year.The minimum eligibility for IAS is you must complete the graduation from any recognized university.

    So you can go for IAS examination.......

    Being a graduate you are eligible to apply for IAS officer recruited through Civil Services Exam

    Required Qualification to appear for Civil Services Exam

    -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute.
    -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year.
    -UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage.
    -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 30 years.
    -You must be a citizen of India.



    Expected Important dates:
    Last date for online Application: March
    Date of Commencement Exam: May


    Civil Service Examination has three stages

    1st Stage: Preliminary Exam

    2nd Stage: Main Examination

    3rd(Final Stage): Interview

    IAS:- Indian Administrative Service Exam this exam is conducted by Union public Service Commission and this examination is conducted by every year.
    Oh yes you are eligible for the IAS examination because you complete the Graduation so you surely eligible for the UPSC IAS examination.

    Eligibility Criteria For UPSC IAS:-

    >>You should be Citizen of India.

    >>your age should between 21 to 30 years, and upper age relaxation is applicable for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

    >>You should be complete the bachelor degree or Engineering Degree in any stream from recognized university and the final year students also eligible for the UPSC Exam.

    >>You should be Medically fit for this examination.


    And this examination is conducted by Three stages there are..

    >>Preliminary exam

    >>Written Main Exam

    >>Personal Interview.

    Yes you are eligible for the UPSC exam IAS as well IES also .
    But for that you have to fulfill the below criteria .

    IAS EXAM:
    => you completed your graduation from any recognized university in any stream .
    => must be an indian citizen
    => age must be between 21-30 for general cast , 3 years upper age relaxation for obc cast , 5 years upper age relaxation for sc/st cast , 10 years upper age relaxation for physically handicapped.
    => maximum attempts that are allowed.
    4 for general cast , 7 for obc cast , no limit for sc/st cast.

    IES EXAM:
    => must be an indian citizen
    => one complete the B.E. / B.Tech from any recognized university .
    => age must be between 21-30 for general cast , 3 years upper age relaxation for obc cast , 5 years upper age relaxation for sc/st cast , 10 years upper age relaxation for physically handicapped.

    Format for the IAS exam :
    => There are three parts in the exam .
    Preliminary exam
    main exam
    interview

    The first round is just for qualifying round , its marks are not included in the final merit list .

    Main exam consists 9 descriptive type papers .

    Final selection will be based on the marks secured in main exam plus interview together .
