IES stands for Indian Engineering Service.
This exam is conducted every year at national level for the recruitment of Engineer posts.
In this year the exam already passed and you can apply for IES exam in 2013.
The notification of IES exam will be issued on 16/3/2013 and list date of application is 15/4/2013.
This exam will be held on 28/6/2013.
Qualification for IES exam
Candidates who have completed BE or B. Tech degree in any branch from recognized university or its equivalent are eligible to apply for IES exam.
You can apply from following trade of engineering

Electrical
Mechanical
Electronics and Telecommunication
Age should be 21 to 30 years.
Age relaxation as per government norms
