yes, you can apply for UPSC exams. For applying in UPSC exams you need graduation in any field. and as you are retired from Indian Army you have relaxation in upper age limit. Here i am telling you the Age Limit for Central Government(Indian Army) employ according to category wise

Category Age Limit
1. General 21 years to 35 years
2. OBC 21 years to 38 years
3. SC/ST 21 years to 40 years

if your age is in the age criteria according to your age than you are eligible for that see the age criteria below.


1. for general candidates - 21-30 yr.

2. for obc candidates. - 21-33 yr.

3. for sc/st candidates - 21-35 yr.

age limit for general category is 21-35
age limit for OBC category is 21-38
age limit for SC/ST category is 21-40

eligibility criteria for upsc exams is:


candidate should have completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
candidates appearing in final year can also apply for the upsc exam.
age limit for upsc exam is 21 to 30 years.
candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively
