Yes offcourse you can appear in UPSC exam after retiring from Indian Army but according to your age limit remaining you can appear otherwise
you can not appear in UPSC exam.
dear aspirant after the early retirement from army you can appear upsc exam if your education/age/ support you as per upsc then surely you can appear exams like ips/ias/irs etc.
1.upsc conduct's civilservice exam 2 times in a year.
2. The age relaxation is available obc 3 years/s/c.s/t 5 years pwd 10 years.
So as an ex.serviceman quota you can appear.

If you have been retired from Indian army then you can apply for UPSC exams but there is a criteria for age and educational qualification and if you are under the age which is required and having following eligibility then you can apply for UPSC civil services exams :
>> You should have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university and should have at least 50% marks in graduation.
>> Your age should not be lesser than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation would be provided only to reserved category which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates so that if you are under the above mentioned age then you can apply.
General category candidates are allowed to appear for this exam only for 4 times
OBC Category - 7 times and SC/STs have no limit means they can apply for this exam till 35 years of age.

If you complete the conditions regarding the civil service exam like as
The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years for unreserved category.
The age limit for the OBC category is the 21 to 33 years
The age limit for the SC/ST category is the 21 to 35 years.
The age limit for the Physical Handicapped is 21 to 40 years.
Qualification is required the candidate must have complete the graduation in any stream from the approved university.

Yes you can appear for UPSC exams once you retired from Indian army then you but there is a Age criteria and educational qualification is required qualification are mandatory.
The candidate should completed graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university and should have at least 50% marks in graduation.
General= 4 attempts
OBC(non-creamy layer)= 7 attempts
SC/ST= unlimited
But all these attempts are permissible within your age-limit for particular category
General= 21-30 years
OBC=21-33 years
SC/ST= 21-35 years.

In this Quota you can Join in UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
There will be relaxation for the reserved candidates too

friend you are already in indian army and taking retirement at the age of 15 years of service then yes its possible for you to write upsc exam.
as at the time of retirement (minimum year year of service is 15 yers in any defense service.
so when you are writing upsc exam,your age must be in between 21-30 years,
must be indian
must posses bachelor degree
no backlog
must be medically fit and fine in all aspects
