    I am currently serving Indian Army. My age is 24. Can I write UPSC Civil Services Exam or not?

    hello sir/mam
    iam doing job in INDIAN ARMY. My age is 24...can i appear for civils exam....

    yes , you can but you must satisfy the eligibility criteria for the applied examination.

    The costraints will be :

    Your acedemic qualification - must possess a graduate degree,

    Your Age should be between 21 to 27,

    Your subjects must be thorough ,

    But is soldier is known for hard work...

    So , show some hard work and clear it ..

    yes sir,

    you are eligible for the exam if you complete the degree in any stream.

    according to your age you are also eligible for the exam.

    4 chance to attempt the exam for unreserved category.

    age relaxation for the reserve category.

    5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST category with no limit for the exam.

    3 years age relaxation for the OBC category.

    the exam notification of the 2013 is published in the month of the December-2012 or January-2013.

    the preliminary exam may be held in the month of the May.

    mains exam held in the month of the octobere.,

    Hi Aspirant,

    Yes friend, you can write for UPSC civil Service exam in the age of 24 years. You are fully eligible to apply for Civil service exam.

    UPSC organzies the civil service exam every year for the recruitment of post of IAS, IPS or IRS.

    You can apply for civil service exam through UPSC official website.

    Eligibility criteria for Civil service exam

    You should have graduation degree in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.

    Final year candidates can also apply for CDS exam.

    There is no restriction of percentage.

    You should be in age of 21 to 30 years.

    You must be the citizen of India.


    Exam pattern for Civil service exam


    You can apply for civil service exam in 2013.

    UPSC will release the notification for CDS exam on 10/10/2012 and last date of application is 10/11/2012 while exam will be conducted on 17/2/2012.

    Yes, Even being working in army, you can appear in the civil services examination. But you need to fulfill following-:
    1. You must have the any bachelor degree in any stream from an recognised university.
    2. No minimum percentage in graduation boundation.
    3. Your age must be between 21 years to 30 years.
    4. You must have the citizenship of India.

    • Since you are working in army, you need to devote a proper time for the preparation of the civil services exam, as it's one of the tough exam.
    • First you need to appear in the prelimnary exam, if you successful passed then move to main exam and at last interview.

    Dear aspirant,

    -If you are currently employed in Indian army then you are not eligible for Civil services exam because Indian army itself is a central government job.


    -So if you want to apply for IAS then you have to resign from your army post then only you will be eligible for IAS post.


    -You should be graduate also if you want to apply for IAS exam.


    -Age must be between 21 to 30 years .

    Yes sir, You are eligible to write the UPSC exams at this age because your age is between UPSC age criteria.

    There are lots of exams, organized by UPSC every year for filling the post IES, IAS, IPS, CDS, NDA, IFS (all civil

    services exams).



    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF UPSC EXAMS


    Educational Qualification-:

    You must have a graduate degree in any stream from recognized university.
    (It is not same for all upsc exams but it is a common qualification for most of upsc exam)



    Age Criteria-:

    For general candidate -: 21 - 30 years

    For OBC candidate -: 21- 33 years
    (Because three years relaxation)

    For SC/ST candidate -: 21 - 35 years
    (Because five years relaxation)

    For government employees -: 5 years relaxation.



    Nationality-:

    You must be a citizen of India.



    Number of Attempts-:

    For General candidate-: 4 times

    For OBC candidate -: 7 times

    For SC/ST candidate-: No Limits



    Procedure for UPSC exam -:

    Preliminary (2 papers both are general studies)

    Mains (4 papers , 1. General studies, 2. Essay, 3. Compulsory, 4. Optional )

    Interview


    Mode of Applying-:

    Only Online.



    Now you can apply for one of UPSC exam is ' Combined Defence Services'

    Notification(form) is released on 10/10/2012.
    Last date of application is on 10/11/2012.
    Exam is conducted in month of February
