Dear you are independent to choose any one subject from the above mentioned list but do not get confused because you have completed your engineering degree in mechanical stream but if you want to choose Electrical then there is no problem in selection of this subject as optional and you have to appear for two papers of optional subject in mains examination because this is mandatory from the board and each paper will be conducted in conventional type pattern and contains 250 marks so prepare well

There will be 7 different papers conducted in mains exam in that four papers will be based on general studies and one will be based on Essay and English Language then two papers will be on the basis of optional subject and qualifying in each paper is mandatory
