Can I give IPS exam having weak eye sight?

sir can u tell me meri eye weak hai kya me ips ka exam de sakta hu..........

haan tum IPS ka exam de sakte ho agar tumhari eyesight -4.00 se +4.00 tak kharab hai cylinder ke saath. UPSC civil service exam karaati hai jo 24 departments ke liye hota hai. IPS unme se ek department hai. Agar tumhari eyesight ki wajah se tum IPS ke liye eligible nahin ho, to tum IAS, IFS, IRS banane ke liye ye exam de sakte ho. In sab naukriyon mein eyesight nahin dekhi jaati. Agar jyada kharab bhi ho to bhi chalta hai.

friend its had not mentioned any where about the eye sight so can try for it.but it does not mean we should not consider this as lightly

eye sight can be corrected and if it persistent then you need to consult a eye specialist to rectify the cause.

to become a part of indian police service (IPS),YOU need to crack the civil service exam,held by union public service commission( we called it as upsc)

civil service exam consists of preliminary exam(objective bases),civil service main exam(when you qualify the preliminary test,then only granted for the main exam),then followed by interview.

UPSC Civil Services Exam(CSE) is held every year for posts like IPS,IAS,IFS,IRS,etc.
UPSC conducts the CSE for selections to a total of 24 services/posts.
CSE is very tough & competitive exam at the All India level.
Having a weak eyesight you might not be eligible for IPS post but you can appear in the
UPSC CSE for other posts.
Eligibility For CSE :
Age Limit :
General Category-21-30yrs on 1st August of the year of exam
OBC-21-33yrs
SC/ST-21-35yrs

Educational Qualification :
Minimum educational qualification to appear in the CSE is,
A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognised University.
Final year appeared/appearing candidates can also apply.

Attempts :
General Category-4 times
OBC-7 times
SC/ST-Unlimited times

Physical Requirements for IPS :

Vision
6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye.
6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.

You should not be suffering from color or night blindness.

You can apply for UPSC CSE to become an IPS Officer if you meet the above specifications.

Height

Male - 165 cm for General/SC/OBC candidate and minimum of 160 cm ST.
Female - 150 cm OBC/SC/General candidate and 145 cm ST.

Chest

Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm Expansion 5 cm.

To appear in IPS Entrance Examination then the aspirant should satisfy the Physical requirement which is very Essential for IPS Entrance Examination ..

But you have Week in Eye sight ..

As per the Physical requirement for IPS Entrance Examination your not eligible for IPS Entrance Examination ..

Yes, offcourse dear you can give IPS exam having weak eye sight if you face some problems to reading anything you can use spectacles n also check for your eyes. It doesn't matter that your eye sight weak you can't give this exam. Firstly make sure able to give this exam then apply for it otherwise not.

heloo,,,the eligiblity criteria for IPS exam is i.e Eye Sight is as follows:

1.For right eye it should be 6/6

2.For left eye it should be 6/12

OR for both eyes it should be 6/9.....

So you can consult ENT doctor and check your eye sight if it follows the above pattern then you can opt..

meri aakae weak hai .aaako ka no. -4 hai .aap muje bataayae ki main ips,ias, sp ka exam dae sakata hoon . aur select ho sakata hoon.
