UPSC conduct the Civil Services Exam for the post of IAS.
for Civil Services minimum educational qualification is graduation in any stream. and minimum age limit for general category aspirant is 21 years to 30 years. and there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/St candidates.
coming on optional subjects, you you can choose Economics and Management as your optional subjects. The combination which is not allowed is Commerce and Management, management and Public Administration.

The above combination of optional subjects is acceptable i.e.Management along with Economics.
Donot worry about your combination and waste time on it,instead prepare your subjects for mains.
You have to prepare two papers of each of the optional subjects.
Total marks for Mains Written exams are 2000 marks.
The mains exams are to commence from 5th Oct 2012 this year.
