For the preparation of Civil Service exam you need to choose two optional subjects. There are two paper in the civil service exam. Prelims and mains In preliminary exam you no need to choose any optional subject but in mains exam you will have to choose two optional subject. You should choose optional subject as per your interest. Choose the subject where you are more confident and can perform well. For the optionals you should be very careful as they help you to score more so you can chose those in which you are comfortable and are sure that they help in scoring good marks.

Or there are subjects you chose from :
* Physics
* Chemistry
* Botany
* Zoology
* Political Science etcc ....

How about Mathematics? I am much interested in maths and interested to learn more on this.
