you can apply for the nda exam as your age is permissible , so i think you should apply quickly as it is there on the site http://www.upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php & also start preparing for it. there is four months for the exam i.e 14 april 2013.
there are two subjects i.e gat(general ability test) & maths
go through 12 maths for maths preparation & for gat ,go through ix & x geography ,history, science, political science & little bit of gk.....

NO YOU CAN NOT APPLY FOR THE UPSC NDA EXAMS IN 2013.

The age limit is 16.5 to 19 years.

That is the the candidates must have attended the age of 16.5 before 1st August of the examination year and must not have attended the age of 19 years on the same day of the examination year.

Your birthday is 2nd July 1996 means you will get the age of 16 years on 2nd July 2013,so on 1st August your age will be 16 years 1 months,but not 16.5 years.

Hence you are not applicable for this year.

Sorry friend but you cannot apply for N.D.A. & N.A. EXAM.(I), 2013 as the registration have been closed and you don't satisfy the age limit criteria which was according to UPSC the candidates who are born after 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st july 1997 are only eligible.

But don't worry you can apply for N.D.A. & N.A. EXAM.(II), 2013.

You just have to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria to appear for the Exam.
The candidate should be of the age in between 16.5 to 19 years.
The candidate should be unmarried.

Below are the eligibility conditions for the NDA Exam 2013:

Educational qualification:

For Army: 12th pass from recognized board.

Candidate Born between 2nd January, 1995 and 1st July 1997.

As your date of birth doesn't lie in between these dates you are not eligible for the exam.

If you are really willing to join army, then you can apply for CDS Exam, for which graduation from recognized university is needed.

The NDA exam is conducted every year in the month of April and August by the UPSC.
it is a common entrance exam for joining defence on 12th basis.

for the NDA one has to satisfy the following criterions to be eligible.

1.You should be an Indian citizen firstly.
even those who are subject of Nepal and Bhutan can also apply for the exam.


2.The age limit for the exam is of 16.5 to 19 years.
if the candidate exceeds the age limit or is below the age limit at the time of exam then he will not be eligible for the exam.


3.Only those candidates who are unmarried and are male are allowed to appear for the exam.


4.You also need to have passed 12th from a recognized board.
for Indian army 12th passed certificate in any stream will do.
and for airforce and navy one needs to have studies Physics and mathematics as a subject in 12th.
12th appearing candidate can also apply.

NDA Entrance stands for National Defense Academy Entrance exam. The entrance exam is carried out by Union Public Service Commission for the selection of the Students into the Air Force, Naval and Army wings of the NDA.


NDA Entrance 2013 Eligiblity:-

1)12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a state education board or a university and also Students who are appearing in the 12th class under 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.


2)Students who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.



Now your D.O.B is 2/7/1997.
So you'll be 15 years old as on 1/1/2013 as well as on 1/7/2013.
That means that you cannot sit for the exam as you do not fulfill the Age Eligibility criteria.

But don't get disheartened,you can have a go at NDA exam in 2014.
