You have to write UPSC examination for getting admission in naval academy.
Two types of exams are there
1)COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION

Age limit:19-22(unmarried male candidates only)
Educational qualification degree in Engineering

After national defence academy and naval academy examination the selected candidates would undergo 4years btech course

you can join Indian Naval Academy in two ways either through NDA or through CDS exam. both of the exams are conducted twice in a year by UPSC. For Naval academy you must be Physically and Mentally Fit. NDA exam is conducted for Intermediates and CDS exam is conducted for Graduates.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA for Naval Academy:
>>you must have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics(PCM) or equivalent from recognized board or college. candidates pursuing 12th are also eligible to apply.
>>your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years. there is no relaxation in upper age limit.

Eligibility Criteria for CDSE INA exam:
>>you need degree in Engineering for CDSE and degree in Engineering or B.Sc. (with Physics or Mathematics) for NCC entry. Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for the exam.
>>your age must be within 19 years to 22 years. in CDS also there is no relaxation in age for any category.

the procedure is that you have to apply for N.D.A/N.A exam...

through that you can choose NAVAL ACADEMY

age limit
16.5 yrs to 19 yrs

education
you need to be a passed 12th.....

There are two ways to join Naval Academy through UPSC exams which are following as

NDA - National Defense Academy Examination

INA - Indian Naval Academy : To be eligible for this section examination, you should have passed 12th class with mathematics and physics as mandatory subjects from a recognized board and if you are awaited for your result then also you can apply for this examination

When you will pass this examination then you will have to go through SSB Interview test and pass all required stages - Physical/Medical Standards etc. then you will get selected

Your age should be minimum 16.5 years and should not be more than 19 years to appear for this examination and only unmarried male candidates are allowed to apply

CDS - Combined Defense Service Examination

INA - Indian Naval Academy : Candidate must have passed bachelor's degree in Engineering in any branch to be eligible for this examination and his age should not be more than 22 years and minimum age should be only 19 years to be eligible

If you pass this examination then you will have to pass other further required stages - Physical Standard and Efficiency with Medical tests then Personal Interview so you will get the job

This year's NDA II examination is going to be conducted at 11th of August 2013 and CDS II exam will be conducted at 08th of September 2013 so you should wait for NDA I and CDS I 2014 and prepare for these exams and to collect more details, you can visit at www.upsc.gov.in

-70% Marks in the Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.
-Age should be between 17 - 21 years.

Artificer Apprentices Examination ::

-You must have a 12th from a recognized Institution.
-60% Marks in the Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.
-Age should be between 17 - 20 years.

Senior Secondary Recruit Examination ::

-You must have a 12th with Physics and Mathematics as subjects from a recognized Institution.
