What is the age relaxation for Central Government OBC employee in Central Government exams? To avail age relaxation (if any), how many years should I offer my services to apply for Assistant Commandant post of UPSC?

I am a central government employee and OBC candidate. What is the maximum age relaxation that I can get in central government exams? To avail this age relaxation howmany years I have to be completed in service? i wish to apply Assistant Commandant in UPSC.

Eligibility for UPSC Central Police Force Assistant Commandant Examination

Candidate should have passed at least a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if pursuing final year then also eligible to apply for this exam

Age of the candidate should be minimum 20 years and not more than 25 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is following :

3 years for OBC category candidates

5 years for SC, ST, ESM and Central Government Employees

No Upper age relaxation for General Category but if they are Central Government Employee then may get as per guidelines of the board

You are in OBC and you will be allowed to appear for this exam till 28 years of age but if you claim for upper age relaxation of both reserved category and government employee then your upper age relaxation will be added to each other and that will become of 8 years that means you will be allowed to appear for this exam till 33 years of age that is why you should not worry and just apply if you have crossed 33 years of age then nothing can be done in this situation because you have crossed maximum age limit even after claiming for relaxation in upper age

If you want to prove that you are a central government employee to the board about your job then you should remember that UPSC board gives upper age relaxation to those who are not on probation period because if the employee is permanent without any problem in the department of government of India then he will be provided that but if working on probation then he will not be eligible until he complete his probation period

I have attached official notification that will give you more details so please download and read carefully

    All the best
