Hi
IAS is a very difficult examination which needs a lot of determination in order to crack it. Now how much exact time that is needed by you depends on the dedication and devotion you can give it to the preparation. In general it is said that a couple of years with full devotion and dedication are more than enough in order to crack the IAS examination.
