You can apply for the Civil Service exam 2013 in two modes
Online
Offline
Online modes
To apply for online registration you will have to open UPSC official website
http://upsconline.nic.in
Here you can complete online registration in two parts
In first part you will fill all the basic details like name, father name, mother name, qualification etc. and submit the application form and will receive a registration ID after submission as well as you will get a link to download the challan for the submission of application fee.
No submit the application fee in nearest SBI branch and go to the website again to complete the second part of registration.
In second part you will fill the payment details and Upload your recent photo and scanned copy of signature and submit the application form.
Now online registration process has completed.
Offline mode
You can also apply for civil service exam in offline form.
For offline application you can purchase the application form from nearest head post office and fill the form very carefully and send to the prescribed address.
The application fee is Rs. 100.
Payment may be through SBI challan form, Net banking and credit or debit card.
The notification for the civil service exam will be updated at UPSC official website on 2/2/2013 and last date of filling application form will be 4/3/2013. While exam will be held on 19/5/2013.

Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) accepting only ONLINE mode of applications for Civil service examination.
No other mode of applications are not accepting by the commission.
Online registration will be starts from 2nd February,2013 by visiting http://www.upsconline.nic.in
Last date to apply online is 4th March,2013.
Date of examination is on 19th may,2013.
Examination Fee is Rs.50/- Exempted for Women and SC/ST categorical applicants.
Fee can be paid through any branch of S.B.I after completion of Part I registration.

For civil services examinations 2013 ,you can apply in both the modes that is online as well as offline.However ,I would advice you to go for the online mode as it is quite convenient and error free.As in offline mode you have to fill the application form with pen ,so you might make a mistake which will lead to the rejection of application.
First of all ,Let me tell you the important dates of civil services examination2013.
The date of notification is 02/02/2013.The last date of receiving application is 04/03/2012.and the date of examination is 19/05/2013.
For online mode just follow the simple steps:
Visit the official website of UPSC that provides you facility to fill the application form online and is www.upsconline.nic.in
Fill all the respective details after that in second stage upload your photograph and signature.
Now you have to do payment for the application form.Select any of the given methods for the payment depending upon your own convenience .
1.internet banking
2.Credit card/debit card
3.SBI CHALLAN FORM.
Now the second option for you is to buy the application form from the post office and then fill it and after affixing your photograph and send it to the address mentioned in the application form.
