    You must be physical fit.

    So you can apply by online mode,for these you need to download application form by paying the application fee 100 for general category candidates anf no fee for reserved category candidates.

    Students who wish to pursue their career in Government service can take up this test.The IAS or ICS is considered as the head of all the other examinations conducted in India.

    QUESTION PATTERN FOR IAS Exam

    The pattern of the exam is divided into three sections.
    First is the preliminary examination. It is further divided into two papers. The duration of each paper is 120 minutes.

    Those who qualify this level have to attend a main exam. This paper will hold a written test followed by an interview.

    In the written test candidates have to attend 9 papers. The duration of each paper is 180 minutes. The final phase is the Interview.

    Syllabus

    The portions for the preliminary Exam paper one are Indian history and national movements, geography, current events, general science, Indian polity and government, economics etc.

    The portions for paper two are Comprehension, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Decision Making, General Ability, English language etc.

    The syllabus for the main examination

    A paper on Indian language
    English
    Essay
    Two papers on general studies
    Four papers on any of the optional subject according to candidate�s choice

    Eligibility:-

    Candidates who have completed their graduation from any stream are eligible to appear for the test.
    Candidates having a pass mark can apply. Those who are appearing or the final year of the qualifying examination can also attend the test.
    Candidates must be Indian citizens. Those who have migrated from other countries with an intention to become a permanent citizen of India can also apply.
    The age limit is between 21 years to 30 years

    An eligibility criterion is the same for all the students even from different streams. U just need to be a graduate. Age limit is 21 to 30 in general category, 21 to 33 in obc, and 21 to 35 in sc/st.

    my friend first of you have to apply for the upsc IAS examination ,
    for upsc IAS exam first you need to become eligible for that,
    for the eligibility check the below eligibility criteria...

    Eligibility criteria for exams conducted by upsc:

    1. Candidate must have completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university .
    2. candidates who appearing in final year of graduation or engineering can also apply for the upsc exams.
    3. age limit for the upsc exams is 21 to 30 years.
    4. age relaxation of 3 years is given to those candidates who belongs to OBC category .

    Yes friend a B.A. pass studen is make an IAS officer. Because the qulificatio for IAS is complete greduation in stream.
    And you are complete greduation so you are allow for the IAS exam.

    The age criteria is
    For gen. - 21 to 30 year
    For obc - 21 to 33 year
    For sc/st - 21 to 35 year

    after completing or while appearing in final year of your B.A or graduation in any discipline you have to write Civil Services exam. Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the post of IAS officer.

    B.A. Graduation is sufficient to make you eligible for IAS examination. But you have to be well prepared for the competition then only you can become an IAS officer.

    So get on with your preparation because the syllabus for IAS examination is very vast and you have to be really well prepared for it.

    You have to wait for next years Civil Services examination which will be in 2014. You can apply for the examination through online application by visiting the UPSC official website.

    Age required for IAS exam is 21 to 30 years. Relaxation in age is given to reserved category candidates.

    Dear Friend,

    B.A is a graduation degree course and after graduation every candidates are eligible for civil services examination.

    For that exam you should be graduate from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.

    It does not matter that in which fields you are passing your graduation only you should be graduate.

    Your age must be under 21-30 years , 3 years of age relaxation for BC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

    General candidates has 4 attempts to apply where as BC candidates has 7 attempts to apply and SC/ST candidates has no limit to apply for same.
