    dear friend to apply for IAS exam one should have completed his graduation or either should be in final year of graduation and there is no percentage criteria and as far as age is concerned for general it is 21-30 for obc it is 21-33 and for sc/st it is 21-35 ok friend

    Detail Eligibility Criteria:-

    - You must be Indian citizen.

    - You must have completed your graduation from recognized university.

    - A candidate who have completed his/her graduation from technical / profession courses are also eligible to apply.

    - Final year candidate can also eligible to apply for this exam.

    - Only passing mark is required .

    - Your age must not be less than 21 years & must not be greater than 30 years.

    - Upper age relaxation is available for SC/ST, O.B.C candidates.

    - For SC/ST- 5 years of age relaxation is available.

    - For O.B.C.- 3 years of age relaxation is available.


    - Candidate must be physically fit.

    - Number of attempts is 4 for open category, 7 for O.B.C. category, unlimited for SC/ST candidates.

    Eligibilty: Any Graduation recognised by UGC.( i.e. BA,BSc, MBBS, BBA,...)
    Age: Gen- 30 yrs, OBC-33yrs, SC&ST- 35yrs.
    Attempts: Gen- 4, OBC- 7, SC&ST- No Limit.

    Hello,

    The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.


    So if you are below 30 years and upper than 21 years then you can appear in examination.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services and to become IAS Officer, you have to complete your graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University and apply for the UPSC Civil services examination. This examination is conducted every year and the notification of this examination will be published in the month of February.

    For this year examination Notification was already Declared and the last date of apply for this examination was already over.

    The Preliminary examination will be conducted soon on 20/May/2012.

    I Think you have missed the chance this year and if you have not applied for this examination then please wait for Next year Notification. Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online Only. Offline application form facility is not applicable this year onward's.

    To apply for this examination you must have complete your Graduation in any discipline and your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    You will get Limited attempts to cracked this examination.

    >> For General candidates : 4 Attempts
    >> For OBC Candidates : 7 Attempts
    >> For SC/ST : No Limits

    If you fails to cracked this examination in the given limits then you cant fill the application form again. So please prepared well and then apply for this examination Online.

    orthopaedically handicapped person the age relaxation is given up to 10 years

    ELIGIBILITY:

    To apply in this examination the candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely animal husbandry and veterinary science, Botany,Chemistry,zoology,mathematics,Physics , statistics etc.

    For IAS exam you have to complete your graduation with any disciplene and age between 21 to 30 years(for OBC-3 years and for SC/ST-5 years relaxation).

    Well dear friend age Limit for general candidates the age ranges from 21 to 30 years;for SC/ST candidates the age ranges from 21 to 35 years and for OBC candidates the age ranges from 21 to 33 years.

    Eligibility Criteria for I.A.S. is that you must have done Bachelor�s degree from recognized university.

    age considered for this exam is the age of the candidate on 1 August of Exam Year

    Eligibility criteria for IAS exams is:
    1.Graduation or engineering from a college under a recognized university.
    2.Final year appearing students can also apply for the upsc exam.
    3.Age limit is 21 to 30 years.
    4.OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively.

    first of all i want to make you understand that IAS is not a exam. It is a post which you can get After Clearing all the levels of Civil Services Exam.

    Level of Civil Services Exam:
    1. CSAT
    2. MAINS
    3. Interview

    CSAT is just to check eligibility for mains exam. Candidate who clear the CSAT exam only can apply for Mains exam.

    Candidates who clear the mains exam are selected for Interview. after Clearing Interview you are selected for the posts like IAS, IPS, IFS etc.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    1. you need to complete or appearing in final year of graduation in any field from recognized college or university with any percentage.

    2. Age limit:

    Hope that you are in good health and good state of mind.

    See,the according to the eligibility criteria,the candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

    So if the university from where you did engineering is approved by UGC,the you can surely sit in the exam.

    But make sure that you also fulfill the age criteria.

    -->A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st
    August, in the year of examination.

    -->The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the following cases:

    ->Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
    ->Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
    ->State of Jammu & Kashmir (Domiciled during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to 31st December,
    1989): upto a maximum of five years.

    Eligibility criteria for UPSC - IAS exam :

    A bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks and 45% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD/EXS and those who are pursuing final year examination or awaiting for result may also apply for this exam.

    Age should be between 21-30 years for Indian Administrative Services and relaxation in upper age would be provided as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/STs , 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWDs and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidates.

    If you have above mentioned qualification and eligibility then you can apply for UPSC - IAS exam easily.

    For civil services examination there are many criteria which are given.
    • Candidate should be passed there graduation from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.
    • Candidate must be Indian Civilization.
    • Candidate should be under 21-30 years , 3 years age relaxation for BC candidate and 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidate.
    • For civil services examination no percentage is required if you just have passing marks in your graduation then you are eligible .
    • General candidate has 4 attempts to apply , BC candidate has 7 attempts to apply and SC/ST candidate has no limit to apply.

    Dear Aspirant

    UPSC has fixed different age limits for different category.Howeve the intial age limit is same ie 21 years of age but upper age limiy is different for different age groups like
    General Category-30 years
    OBC-33 years (upper age limit has been relaxed by 3 years)
    SC/ST-35 years(Upper age limit has been relaxed by 5 years)
    Physically Handicapped there is no age limit

    Besides age eligibility you need to be graduate in any discipline from any recognised university in any discipline and also the number of attempts to IAS has been reduced category wise.

    General Category -4 attempts where as OBC-7 attempts and unlimitd for SC/ST
