    Hello Friend,
    IRS officer is the 4th most respected officer of civil service after the IAS , IPS , IFS's. To become an IRS(Indian Revenue service) offcicer one can write the civil service exam conducted by UPSC.

    Educational Qualification:
    To becoming an IRS officer the aspirant must posses a bachelor degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

    Age:
    The candidate must have attained 21 year & must not have attained 30 year on 1st August of the year of examination.

    The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 year for OBC, 5 year for SC/ST.The upper age limit is also relaxed in favor of defense services personel.

    The aspirant who are apply for the exam should have Indian citizenship.

    First the candidate procure the application form from any of the post office /Head post office spread all over the country & sent the filed applicatio form according to the rule.The information for the examination rules & syllabus details is published in the month of December in the Employment News, Rozgar samachar & other leading News papers of the country.

    In month of May/June the aspirant have to take the preliminary exam consist of 2 papers.
    This exam is just a qualifying exam for the final exam & score obtained in this exam are not added to the final result.

    those candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam are supposed to take the final exam normally in the month of october.

    Once you are qualified the test the final stage is Interview to test their mental ability & personality.

    Then the final list of successful candidates are prepared & the candidates who are secured good rank go for training.

    If you want to join Indian revenue Service (IRS) than you have to appear in the UPSC CIvil Services Exams

    This exam is held to fill 24 posts and this includes IRS,IAS,IPS,IFS etc

    ELIGIBILTY to apply is:

    Educational Qualifications :Graduation pass in any Stream

    AGE- Minimum 21 years
    Maximum 30 years
    Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

    ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times
    OBC- 7 times
    SC/ST- No such restriction

    if you want to become an irs officer after b.com from an ugc recognised university, apply for civil services examination and crack the prelims,mains round and interview and then opt for indian revenue services.

    IRS stands for Indian Revenue Service. you can become an IRS officer through Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year. Through IRS you will join Customs department.

    Levels Of Exam:
    1. Prelims(CSAT)
    2. Mains
    3. Interview


    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Limit Number Of Attempts:

    >>General category: 4 attempts

    >>OBC category: 7 attempts

    >>SC/ST category: No Limit
