Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Civil service exams throughout the country for recruiting candidates for various Civil Services of the Government of India like Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and many others like Group A and Group B central jobs. Every year around 1,50,000 students appear for this exam. The exam is not tough if one has been regularly preparing for it.
It is very easy to calculate your age as pre the conditions of eligibility to sit for the UPSC exam.
So don't worry,I'll tell you everything.
See,the age that is calculated is with respect to 1/8/2013.
Hence if are trying out to calculate your age,then do so with respect to 1/8/2013.
You should be between 21 and 30 years to sit for the exam.
But if you belong to SC/ST,then there are some relaxations.

General :- 21-30 yrs.
OBC :- 21-33 yrs.
SC/ST :- 21-35 yrs.

In UPSC exam we calculate the age with respect to 1 Aug.
If we talk about CSAT 2013 exam then the age of the candidate should be minimum 21 year and maximum 30 year on the date 1/08/2013
Age limit for CSAT exam is
age of the candidate is 21 to 30 year,
3year age relaxation for OBC and 5 year relaxation for SC/ST candidate

You should calculate your age on 1 Aug of exam year. If you are from general category and your age will be less than 30 yrs on 1 Aug of exam year, then you can appear in the exam.
