You can join the Army by appearing in the UPSC Combined Defence Services(CDS) after completing your B.Sc.
CDS Exam is conducted Twice a year by UPSC to make recruitments in the Army,Airforce & Navy Wing of Defence Services.
Through CDS you can join the Indian Military Academy(IMA),Officers Training Academy(OTA),Naval Academy or Airforce Academy.
After clearing the written test of CDS exam you have to appear in the interviews and Physical and medical test.
Eligibility For CDS Exam :
Age Limit :
IMA-19-24yrs
OTA-19-25yrs
Naval Academy-19-22yrs
Airforce Academy-19-23yrs
Educational Qualification :
IMA & OTA-Degree from a recognised University/Equivalent
Airforce Academy-Graduate degree with Maths and Physics/B.E./Equivalent
Naval Academy-B.Sc Degree with Physics and maths/B.E./Equivalent
CID stands for Crime Investigation Department of the Indian Police Services.
Two ways to become a CID Officer are as follows:
1.CID Officers are selected from the promising & Impressive candidates serving in the Indian Police Services as
Assistant Commissioner of Police.So,you have to appear/clear the UPSC Civil Services Exam to become an IPS Officer first.
2.Every state has a CID and sub-inspectors serving at state level are selected
to join as CID Officers and then trained.So you have to first join the state police services through State level
exams like MPSC,KPSC,GPSC,etc.

After completing the B.Sc mathematics,you can join the Indian army through CDSE(Combined Defense Services Examination)
A entrance exam through which you will get entry in to the IMA-Indian Military Academy-the qualification required is graduation from any stream.Age limit-19 to 24 years(at the time of commencement of the course).
OTA-Officers Training Academy-same as IMA,age limit-19 to 25 years.
Both are the entries for the army.
There is no direct entry in to the CID.
The CID officers are selected from the police services,if you wish you can go for the IPS,then you will have a chance to get selected in the CID.
But there is no special entry in the CID.
