hello,
for general category, you have 4 attempts,,
An individual from general category can make four attempts in total to crack the Civil Services (IAS).
However an individual from the OBC can make seven attempts with three years upper age relaxation.
There is no restriction on the number of times an individual from ST/SC category can attempt for the Civil Services. Individuals from the ST/SC category enjoy a five year relaxation to the upper age limit.
Dear Aspirant
UPSC conducts the exam of CIVIL SERVICES every year.
It has limited the number of attempts for various category candidates.
These restriction of attempts are:
1.NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS FOR GENERAL=>4
2.NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS FOR OBC=>7
3.NUMBR OF ATTEMPTS FOR SC/ST=> NO BOUNDATION
4.NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS FOR PH GENERAL=>7
Apart from these restrictions there is also age boundation for each category candidates;
1.21 to 30 years for the general candidates
2.21 to 33 years for the obc candidates
3.21 to 35 years for the sc/st candidates.
SO YOU HAVE TO MAKE ALL ATTEMPTS WITHIN THESE AGE CRITERIA.
BEST OF LUCK.
- IAS Stands for the Indian administrative services.
- The exam in order to become IAS is conducted by the union public service commission. (UPSC).
