    How many categories are there for UPSC exams? I have completed degree course in hotel management. Which category will be suitable for me?

    please tell me how many categories are there for UPSC exams and if I have completed Degree in Hotel Management which category will be suitable for me?

    -There are approximately ELEVEN exams conducted annually by the UPSC,for the recruitment of candidates into the top,prestigious Civilian posts of the country.
    -The name of these exams are LISTED below-
    # NATIONAL DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMS.
    # SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE EXAMS.
    # CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS.
    # INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMS.
    # INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAMS.
    # COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMS.
    # COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICE EXAMS.
    # GEOLOGISTS EXAMS.
    # INDIAN ECONOMIC/STATISTICAL SERVICE EXAMS.
    # STENOGRAPHER'S EXAMS.
    # CENTRAL POLICE FORCE EXAMS.
    -Apart from these,there is another exam,the FORTNIGHTLY RECRUITMENTS which take place in Two weeks.
    -Being a Graduate in hotel management,You may apply for tHree exams conducted by the UPSC.
    {01} CIVIL SERVICE Exams.
    ~ The exams are conducted annually by the UPSC.
    ~ You must be a citizen of India.
    ~ You must be 21 To 30 Years of age,relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by three years for OBC candidates.
    ~ You must be a Graduate,or in the final year,from a recognized university with any subject or stream.
    ~ The exams are carried out in three phases namely,Preliminary,Mains and Interviews.
    {02} CENTRAL POLICE FORCE EXAMS.
    ~ The exams are conducted annually by the UPSC.
    ~ You must be a citizen of India.
    ~ You must be 20 To 25 Years of age.
    ~ All Graduates are applicable.
    {03} COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMS.
    ~ The exams are conducted twice in an year by the UPSC.
    ~ You can apply for the IMA and OTA onlY.
    ~ For IMA,your age must be between 19 To 24 years while for OTA your age must lie within 19 To 25 years.
    ~ You must be a citizen of India.

    civil service examination (CSE) is a competitiva examination held nationwide by UPSC for recruitment towards Indian Administrative services(IAS), Indian Foreign Services(IFS), Indian Police Services(IPS), Indian Revenue Services(IRS) and other group 'A' and group 'B' central services.

    Upsc Stands for the union public service

    And upsc is conducting various exams for the various posts

    And you can write the civil services exam

    Here is the full details of the exam and criteria:

    Pattern of the exam:

    Pre Exam
    Mains Exam
    Interview

    And the candidate must be pass in graduation to appear in the exam

    And the age should be 21-30

    And relaxation for the sc.st of 5 years

    And for the obc of 3 years

    And for the ph candidates it is 10 years

    UPSC conduct many exams every year. List of exams In UPSC is :
    Civil Services
    IFS
    CDS
    IES
    CMS

    you can apply for civil services,IFS,CDS.
    as you have completed degree, you are eligible for UPSc exams.
    and your age must bewithin 21 years to 30 years.

    And there is relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates(3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates).

    I suggest you to apply for civil services Exam.

    THERE are many category for almost all the descipline & also categories irrespective of the stream also

    categories are

    ->> medical categories

    combined medical examination

    ->> engineering category

    Indian engineering services

    ->> statistical category

    Indian economics & statistical exam

    ->> geography category

    GEOLOGIST EXAM

    ->> IRRESPECTIVE OF CATEGORY (exams open for all)

    @civil services examinaiton
    @Indian forest services
    @central police force
    @combined defence services exam

    NOTE:- THUS on above conclusion in your favour that you will go for the category "irrespective of stream".

    Hi Aspirant,

    After completion of Hotel Management you can apply for Civil Service exam.

    CSE is conducted by UPSC at national level.

    Through CSE exam you can be appointed as

    IAS

    IPS

    IRS


    Required criteria for CSE exam

    You should be graduated in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.

    No certain marks of percentage required.

    Age must be between 21 to 30 years

    Age relaxation

    SC/ST + 5 years

    OBC + 3 years

    PH +10 years

    You must be Indian.
