There is no posts which is reserved for any particular category in IAS.Every category are equal and will have to earn the place.But no such reservation is there for any particular category.
Yes it is true that the reserved category have some sorts of relaxation,like in terms of age,number of attempts they can attempt.But seat is never reserved.

you can become an IAS officer through UPSC Civil Services Exam.
The Exam is conducted By UPSC Every year.
There is no reserved quota for the IAS post for any category. All categories are considered equally. The posts of IAS varies every year according to the vacancies.
For Civil Services there is only relaxation for reserved categories is regarding Age Limit and Number of Attempt.
Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:
>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation in any discipline.
>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Limit Of Number Of Attempts: General: 4 attempts
OBC: 7 attempts
SC/ST: No Limit
