Dear for your kind information that there is no specific information provided about number of vacancies reserved for any particular category by UPSC board but according to official recruitment notification, there will be about 1000 fresh vacancies for all competitors for 2013-14 ICS examination means around 1000 vacancies will be filled up by the board while batch of 2013-14 but number of vacancies may be increased or decreased according to the condition and requirement and number of vacancies may also be modified on the basis of selected and eligible candidates so you should not worry about that because you are the only one candidate and you need one vacant post then you have nothing to do with other candidates because one post is enough and if you are hard working and dedicated candidate to your career and preparation then you will definitely fight for this post and get it in your first effort so you have got that no specific number of vacancies announced for any category and you have to prepare according to your target and get your goal at once
