IAS and IES approximate total candidates and total vacancies in a particular year<br>It is no doubt greater the number of candidates greater the competition. I just want to know an approximate figure of total candidates appearing and total vacancies in a particular year.

Every year 500000 applications are required in IAS/IES POSTINGbut finally selected only 80 members on IAS posting,500 members selected on IES posting
Vacancy position for IAS & IES:
IAS ---- this exam are every year 500000 candidates are applied, finally top 80 members are selected.
IES ---- Every year 300000 candidates applied but finally 350 members only selected.
