Influential statement:
Being a SC IAs aspirant thre are lots of benifits and advantages .the advantages are as below::
>>In terms of age ,SC/st is given a relaxation of 5 years in age which means that you can appear for the UPSC exams from the age of 21 to 35 years while obc can appear for the obc upto 33 years.
>>General can appear for the UPSC exam for 21-30 years.
>>the second advantage to the SC student is that they can appear for the UPSC exams as many times as they want .so,this increases his chance of getting selected. In other words you can say that you can attempt all the UPSC exams that falls between your age from 21 to 35 years.
>>Aspirants from general can attempt civil services examiantion only four times whereas Obc can appear for 7 times only.
So,friend prepare with your maximum labour and heart for getting selected as it is a very prestigious post and the maximum benifits are provided to you for getting selected.

first of all i want you to know that upsc is not a caste based program.every candidate that clears a particular upsc exam will get post in the government sector that he deserves according to his marks in upsc exam or according to his capabilities and not on the basis of his caste or community. so you need not to worry about your your post after clearing the ias exam.you will be at the place or post you deserve.
being a sc aspirant you have more no. of attempts to apply for upsc ias exam than the general candidates.
the age limit for sc/st candidate sis also relaxed to 21-35 years which is 21-30 years for general category aspirants and is 21-33 for obc candidates .
so being an sc candidate you acn still appy for upsc ias exams as long as you are eligible for it .

Hi
Belonging from the schedule caste certainly boosts up your chances of getting selected in the civil services due to the following relaxations.
The age limit for the general category is 21-30 years of age while that for a sc/st student is 21-35 years of age.
Secondly, the number of attempts for a general category students is 4 while there is no limitations on your number of attempts. Moreover, you have a certain 27% reservation in the seats which cuts your hard work to even a lesser number. Therefore there is a huge chance for you to make it up for the civil services.
Gud luck
