Minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in Indian Engineering Services after completing your graduation in Engineering is 21 years.As you have born in 1994.So in 2015 your age will be 21 years and you will be eligible for appearing in the examination.But keep one thing in mind you have to give papers from Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.Apart from this you have to appear both objective as well as subjective papers.

Eligibility for Indian Engineering Service Examination

Candidate should have passed bachelor's degree in engineering in any one of the - Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or

Should have passed graduate membership examination of the institute for electronics and telecommunication engineers India or

must have passed sections A and B of the Institution examination of the Institute of Engineers India

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

According to your mentioned DOB, you will complete 20 years, 8 month and 19 days of your age as on 01-01-2015 and minimum age required 21 years so you will not be eligible to apply for this examination but you can apply for IES 2016 after completing over than 21 years of age with 8 + months in age so you should prepare for IES 2016 which has 3 years to be held so you can prepare for this exam at this time

According to 2013 notification candidate must be born not later than 1st january 1992. In 2015 notification it may be 1st january 1994.So I think you can write 2016 IES exam.

The age limit for IES exam is 21-30years.As you would be completing 21 at the time of applying you will be eligible for IES 2015.The age is counted on 1st August of the year of exam.You will be 21 till 1st August 2015.Prepare for the exam as you have plenty of time and a fixed aim.All the best

your date of birth is 13/4/1994 so you are now 19 years old and you want to give the examination in 2014. and in 2014

you will become 21 years old but in the month of February, while the counting of age is to be taken from 1 January of the year. so you

will not be eligible

so there may be chances for you in 2016.in 2016 you can definitely be eligible for the same.


according to the latest notification for IES examination the allowed age is that the candidate must not be born after 1st January 1992 so in 2015 it will change into 1 January 1994 .

that's why you will not be eligible to write for IES examination in 2015.

but don't worry you have proper time to prepare yourself for the examination.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Services , IES exam is conducts by Union Public Service Commission once in every year.

For IES exam candidate must be passed his/her graduation in engineering and also can apply in the last year of graduation.

Candidate must be under 21-30 years.

You should not be full of 21 years in 2015 , so you will be eligible in 2016

For that examination percentage does not matter , if candidate just have passing marks in graduation are also eligible.

As you mentioned your date of birth 13/04/1994 ,your age becomes in the year of 2015 is 21 years but actually required age is 21 years till 1st January of concerned year.

So, you can apply from 2016 onwards.

As you are studying ECE course so, you are eligible to apply.

the age limit for giving the upsc IES exam is 21-30 years. It says you cannot give the examination if you are less than 21 years of age. And by the time 2015, you will turn 21. Therefore you will be eligible for giving the examination in the year 2015.
Moreover you have 10 more years with you to give the examination.

The age limit for the sc/st category is 21-35 years.
