Well dear as you are a b.e mechanical graduate you can give following exams.
IES EXAM-you can give ies exam.ies exam is conducted every year by upsc for the various government engineering posts.
Civil services exam-you can also apply for the civil services exam.civil services exam is conducted every year by upsc for the posts of ias ips and irs.
CDS EXAM-you can also apply for cds exam to join in defence sector.upsc conducts this exam two times in a year for the different posts in all the three branches of indian defence.

Dear i have listed some exams for which you may apply after your BE in mechanical engineering :
1. UPSC board conduct a separate engineering services exams and candidate should have following eligibility criteria to apply for IES - Indian Engineering Service Exam :
A bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university with any one of the following disciplines
Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
If you are pursuing final year or semester of your degree then also you may apply
Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates
2. Civil Service Exams : There are so many posts under the civil service exams but main posts are - IFS - Indian Foreign Services and IAS - Indian Administrative Services and you may apply for the civil service exams if you have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is mentioned above, Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible
3. Defense Service Exams : UPSC conduct a defense service exam for various posts under Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force and you should have following eligibilities to apply for CDS Exam
Indian Army - Must be graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should not be less than 19 years and more than 24 years
Indian Navy and Indian Air Force - Must be graduate with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and any one of the - Biology/Chemistry/Computer Science from a recognized university and age should be between 19-22 years for Navy and 19-23 years for Air Force
4. Indian Forest Service Exam - IFoS - If you have completed your bachelor's degree in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university then you may apply for this exam :

2. Agriculture Engineering
3. Botany
4. Chemistry
5. Geology
6. Mathematics
7. Physics
8. Statistics
9. Zoology
10. Forestry
11. Engineering Degree
