    Is preparing for IAS a good option right after B.Tech without doing any job or further studies? or Can I write GATE and then prepare for Civils after M.Tech?

    i completed my btech 2nd year. i started preparing for ias. preparing for "ONLY IAS" after btech is correct or wrong option (without doin any job or studying mtech)?
    or else can i write GATE EXAM and then prepare for civils after mtech?
    please suggest me...

    Yes, dear according to me you have choose good option for preparing for IAS bcoz you will be study without any job or further studies its means you have lots of time for preparing for IAS exams. So, your decision is right after B.Tech. And offcourse you can write GATE and then prepare for civil after M.Tech.

    dear friend,


    it is upto you from when you start preparation for the exam. As you say you have completed 2nd year and you are going for 3rd year and you have started preparation. Keep it doing and according to me it is right time for preparation.

    you can apply for Civil Services exam that is conducted by UPSC for the post of IAS in final year of your graduation. So you have left one year from the exam. be well prepared for the exam.

    you not need to gap in between after B.tech. First Apply for exam in final year if you will unable to do so. then prepare for exam as well as while doing Job or M.Tech.
