    No, you can not join custom officer.

    Custom officer exam comes under ministry of finance.

    To become Custom officer, you have to apply civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC.

    civil services provides 27 different service like;-Indian custom and central Excise service

    And apart from selection process is conducted by two types;-preliminary exam as well as mains exam

    After clearing these exam,you can go Chennai for training department of custom.

    Eligibility;-

    ---you must be passed a bachelor degree from a recognized university with 55%.

    --Your age should be above 19 years.

    ---You must be citizen of India.

    The subject of EXAM;-

    General English

    Arithmetical Ability

    General Intelligence

    General awareness

    Customs officers can be become by cracking SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam.

    This exam requires any graduation.

    The syllabus of written exam for this exam is:



    So mainly you have to study Maths and English.

    Matching the stream you have to select the subject in your 11 class.

    But you have to note that the level of questions in Maths will be of 10th class and in English it will be of 12th class level.

    So take subject as per your choice and make the fundamental basis of the above subjects solid during your school and college time.

    but to become you have to write the civil service exam
    eligibility
    you should possess a graduation
    you should be above 19yrs

    you should choose subjects according to your choice, and after completing your graduation apply for the civil services exam to become the custom officer.

    you want to be a custom office in future and for that you want to select your subject.

    >> it is all depends on you but then also you can choose commerce filed for this custom department.

    >> it is doesn't matter from which filed you belong just you need to clear your graduation .

    here is some basic tips for you.

    First Decide your goal then start preparation of Civil Service Exam.

    If your First Goal is Civil Service then you can give time to Civil Service.

    >> You can utilize your free time if your goal is fixed.

    >> first Collect material for study.

    Collect NCERT books and Start Reading and preparation of Civil Service.

    >> Daily Read newspaper like The Hindu.

    >> Regular Reading Of Magazine like chronicle, Yojana and Kurukshetra.

    >> Daily Watching of TV will also increase your general Knowledge.

    Hi

    If you want to become the custom officer then first you must have to complete your graduation because the Custom department exams is conducted by UPSC.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR UPSC CUSTOM OFFICER EXAM

    >>Graduation from a recognized university in any of the discipline

    >>Your age limit for the exam is 21-30 years.

    >>You must be Indian.


    So these are the basic eligibilities should be in you for the UPSC custom officer exam.

    You can choose any of the stream in your 11th class in which you are interested.

    To be an custom officer you can choose any subject. There is no restriction of subject in SSC CGL exam. So friend you should choose the subject of your interest. SSC conducts the recruitment for the post of Custom officer through SSC Combined graduation Level exam. To apply for the CGL exam you should be minimum Graduation qualified.
