-The chances of yours in appearing the SCRA Exams conducted by the UPSC depends upon your eligibility and your qualifications.
-The SCRA exams are conducted annually by the UPSC,priorly in the month of January,for the enrollment of the deserving candidates into Grade A officers posts of Indian Railways,after training them with the education of Mechanical Engineering for a period of 4 years.
-The eligibility requirements of the SCRA Exams are mentioned below-

# You must be a citizen of India,
or,You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India,before 1962.
# You must be 17 TO 21 Years of age.
# You must have completed your 10+2 Board exams with MATHEMATICS as one of the subject and PHYSICS OR CHEMISTRY as the other,from a recognized board or university.
OR,
You must have completed your Graduation in Mathematics with Physics or Chemistry as one of your subjects,from a recognized university.
# There is no restriction upon the number of times in appearing the exams if you fulfil the eligibility criteria.

The age limit is 17 to 21 years on 1 January of exam year. You can apply Online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in.

- Special Class Railway Apprentices exam is conducted by UPSC to recruit Aspirant to various railways jobs under the central railways.
- The eligibility required for the exam is that the aspirant should have completed higher secondary with physics and mathematics as your subject. Those with degree in science and mathematics can also apply for the exam .
- The age required for the exam is 17 and maximum age for applying for the exam is 21. Relaxation is provided for various category people.
- For SC, ST aspirants 5 years relaxation is provided. For BC, MBC aspirant a relaxation of 3 years is provided. Ex servicemen, defence person and disabled person a relaxation of 5 years is provided.
- The aspirant need to be physically fit as per the medical standards of UPSC standards.

See my friend .....in your question you did not mention any thing about you like your age or your qualification or some thing else....any way there should be a wonderful chances to apply UPSC SRCA exam but your age should less than 21 years then you are eligible other wise we can not do anything....and if you are from graduation then you may apply for IES,IFS,CDS and technical officer posts....just 10 days before CDS notification was released if you are graduate then you will do it now itself and the last date is 3rd of next month and the exam will be held on 16 of sep ....any way all the best my friend...![]()

SCRA is special class railway apprentices was started by the Britishers in 1927 to select the intelligent Indians to assist in their railway operations after the training
eligibility=
age=17-21 years
-should have completed intermediate ,have mathematics and one of these subjects=physics ,chemistry
or
-should be a graduate having mathematics or physics or chemistry a there subject
SCRA exam comprises of written test having mathematics,physics,chemistry,general knowledge,English knowledge,mental ability(psychological test)..
then the selected candidate would be called for an interview followed by medical examination
the selected candidates would be send to rigorous training for 4 years
-should be medically fine
