First of All WHO SAYS THAT YOU CAN'T APPEAR IN IES EXAMINATION. ABSOLUTELY YOU CAN APPEAR IN IES EXAM.

FIRST OF ALL I HAVE TO CLEAR YOU THAT YOU CAN APPEAR IN IES EXAM.

FOR THIS YOU HAVE TO CLICK THIS LINK http://www.upsc.gov.in/general/faq.htm

THIS LINK IS THE UPSC WEBSITE LINK THAT IN THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION SECTION YOU CAN SEE THE REAL FACTOR.

IN THAT SECTION IT IS ASKED THAT WHICH TYPE OF ENGINEERING STUDENT CAN FILL UP THE FORM OF IES.

AND THE ANSWER IS WRITTEN BY UPSC THAT A candidate possessing a degree in Engineering in any discipline is eligible.

NOW IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IAS AND ETHICAL HACKER POST THEN IAS HAS MONEY WITH POWER.

THINK YOU CAN GET MORE MONEY WITH A POWER OF ADMINISTRATION.

This is not true.An IT engineer an also opt for UPSC exam without any restriction but you have to work hard for clearing this exam.In today's scenario if you are going for any interview in any of the company you have to clear an aptitude test ,you have to be very strong and very time conscious for your exam .if you are preparing for an aptitude test for clearing an interview it also helps you somewhere in clearing your UPSC exam. Aptitude tests are not same but give an idea to you to be more perfect in your UPSC exam .But again there's no importance of your IT in UPSC exam

Dear friend it is fully wrong being an it b.tech you are confirmed to write in civil service examination as per upsc framed guidelines.

***a candidate or a final year candidate from a recognized university in any discipline is eligible to write cse conducted by upsc.

Cse stand's for civil service examination and upsc stand's for union public service commission.

So as per above guidelines an it candidate is eligible for upsc exams.
