    Dear Friend

    UPSC is the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.It is the examination conducting body of India which conducts CDS examination also.

    So,the relation is that UPSC is responsible for conducting CDS examination.

    CDS stands for Combined Defence services examinations.


    >>It is conducted twice every year.

    The general eligibility criteria for CDS examinations is below.

    EDucational qualification: Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.

    Age limitations:

    For INA:19-22 years.

    For IMA:19-24 years.

    For OTA: 19-25 years.

    >>you must be mentally and physically fit

    >>You must be an Indian citizen.

    >> There is no relaxation for Combined Defence Service Examination but UPSC examination is given to the relaxation applicable .

    Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission . Mostly this examination is conducted in the month of February and September . CDS I & II Last date for receipt of application was already Closed .

    -->> CDS Examination is conducted for recruitment of Military Academy , Naval Academy , Air force Academy , Officer Training Academy (SSC-Men) , Officer Training Academy (SSC - Women ) .

    -->> If wish to join these examination then you have a graduate degree with any desire subject or Equivalent qualification from a recognized University .

    -->> Those who have a Studying in the final year of bachelor's degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination .

    -->> There is no relaxation for reserved categories and No attempts for this examination .

    Age limits :-

    ~~ Military Academy :: 19 - 24 years .

    ~~ Naval Academy :: 19 - 22 years .

    ~~ Air force Academy :: 19 - 23 years .

    ~~ Officer Training Academy :: 19 - 25 years .

    -->> Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this(Military , Naval , Air force) examination .

    --->> Unmarried Male / Female candidates are eligible to apply for Officer Training Academy examination .

    UPSC conducts various exams for various posts.

    C.D.S Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year.

    You can join any of the following Defence Service by Cracking CDS examination:-

    • Indian Military Academy (IMA)
    • Naval Academy (NA)
    • Air force Academy (AFA)
    • Officer Training Academy (OTA)

    Hi Aspirant

    CDS: Stands for the Common Defence Service Exam

    The relation between upsc and cds is that upsc department

    Is conducting the exam cds for the departments IMA,OTA,IAF And Indian Naval

    The exam is conducting twice in a year

    Essential Qualification Required for the exam:

    The Applicant must be pass in the degree

    Also the Applicant should have physics and maths as subject at 12th level for the IAF And indian Naval


    Age :

    For the IAF : 19-23
    For the Indian Naval: 19-22
    For the IMA :19-24
    For the OTA :19-25


    Attempts:

    Their is no restriction on the number of attempts

    The relation between CDS and UPSC is quite simple,UPSC is a body which conducts the CDS exams.

    It conducts the CDS exams twice a year.The exam consists of Written exam on passing it candidates

    give interviews,physical tests and undergo medical examinations for fitness,then candidate successful

    in all the above are selected.

    UPSC is a commission formed under the Article 315 of constitution of India.It consists of a chairman

    & 10 members.The major role played by UPSC is to select persons to man various Civil Services & posts

    and the services common to Union and States.For this it conducts various competitive exams at All

    India Level.It conducts exams like NDA & SCRA at underdraduates level and at Graduate level it conducts

    exams like Civil Services,CDS,IFS,IES,CPF,CMS,etc.
